Hey friends!
After a full, fast & busy year of music, including releasing a full length CD, it's hard to believe there are only a few gigs left in 2007! Thanks so much for supporting all those gigs, festivals, CD's ... all the music this last year. It has been so fun to hear the sound of my music change and exciting to have such awesome people comin' out to hear it!
Just wanted to let you know that the band & I are rocking out at 9pm this Wednesday, Oct. 24th at the NEW Academy on Osborne. (The same place that used to be the Freehouse!) With guest bassist: David Landreth of local trio, "Groovy Moustache" and a *surprise* guest vocalist. So surprising, in fact, that even she probably doesn't know it yet... a-hem...
Catch the band again Nov. 3rd at local festival: THE BREWNOS ("Definitely Not the Junos") at the King's Head Pub, and November 9th at Tryst Eatery & Liquid Room on Pembina. I'm also doing a solo show at Tryst on November 23rd.
Then it's time to regroup, rehearse write, celebrate, and plan for more shows & a possible tour in the Spring!
Hope you guys are all enjoying fall so far & that I see you again very soon.

Psst. I don't know if you've heard, but Lindsey has a new CD coming out in July. Well of course you haven't heard because its new...wait what am I trying to say... oh yes, go to myspace.com and listen to 'Big Rig', the first single from Lindsey's new CD!!!

Lindsey will once again be performing at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, July, 7 2006 on the Young Performers stage in Bird's Hill Park. More details coming soon.

1) Lindsey will be on "CITY TV'S BREAKFAST TELEVISION" on Monday, March 6th (show is from 7-9AM). Unlike last time, you now have ample notice so you actually can set your VCRs in the event that you will not be at home/awake at the time ;)
2) Tell your friends, family, neighbours, pets, and any other fellow musician folk, that "The Lindsey White Band" is officially hiring!
We're seeking talented, passionate, Manitoba musicians for recording (brand new studio album in the works), performing, and/or touring.

Well here it is, the new website. It took a little longer than expected, but it is up.
Now for the important news!
Lindsey will be playing at Folkfest as a part of the Young Performers program, On Friday, July 8th. Go to the Folkfest website for more information on how you can be there too.

Hey everybody! Linz here...
I was supposed to be playing a gig tonight at the wonderful "Dreg's Cafe" but, sadly... it is no more. So, I'm writing to express my wishes that it rest in peace, and let you know I will no longer be playing at this - my favourite venue to play at thus far. *sniff* Please take a brief moment of silence out of your day today to remember this awesome chunk of Winnipeg history... *pause*
Also, in light of Daddy's day being this weekend... I would like to publicly express thanks to MY dad (*cough,cough* - Jim White)... without whom I would have no business cards, posters, and other assorted goodies! THANKS DAD! : D

Well since there are no shows for a little while, I decided to work on updating the layout, so don't be surprised if the site is different next time you visit. The last one was just a take off of the old site so that the dot com could be operational quickly.
I'd also like to remind you that if you haven't picked up a copy of Lindsey's CD you can send her an email from the contact page and ask to purchase a copy for the great price of $8.

Ahoy! Lindsey here...
I just wanted to apologize to any of you who had any intention
whatsoever of attending my show at Academy Bar & Eatery last night
(March 1st). It saddened me deeply to have to cancel this show; but,
believe me - I did it FOR YOU! ... to spare you the anguish and/or
agony of listening to my voice twist and turn in feeble attempts to
stay on key during the most severe illness I think I have ever
encountered! : { (Sound bad? .... believe me... it is....)
Anyway, I am very sorry for any inconvenience and hope you will all

As a side note, the layout has changed. The previous one was a quick fix so that Lindsey could get her information out there. Version 2.0 is (hopefully) slightly more exciting.

A technical web site announcement: For those of you who have tried to sign up for the mailing list there may have been a problem. It is a 2 step process, you first submit your info in the box on the Contact page. This generates an automatic e-mail from Bravenet.com which contains a link that must be clicked before you are added to the list (so that you can't just be spammed to death). So far there are at least 3 people who have to re-sign-up. Make sure you check your junk mail folders to see if the e-mail has been filtered in there. I cannot manually add those of you who I know have tried to sign up, you still need to click the confirmation link. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Happy Holidays to all you out there in internet land who are celebrating anything at this time of year! The site has been neglected for the past month or so because everyone's schedule has been quite full. Lindsey has completed the recordings for her demo disc, and is awaiting the album art which will hopefully be completed early in the new year.
Hopefully I will also be able to put up a clip(possibly a full song) on the website in the next little while. Just have to find a good host. Then y'all can finally hear Winnipeg's next superstar.

The website is still being constructed, so there will periodically be strange and new little updates. The contact page now has an e-mail address through which Lindsey can be contacted, as well as a sign up form for a newsletter (the newsletter will not be issued for awhile yet, but will be used to notify you of gigs and musical releases). Also, hopefully the next couple of weeks will see the bio and media pages updated.
In other news, Lindsey is currently working on arranging all the instruments for her demo, which will hopefully be completed by Christmas.
